Production Supervisor

Mosaic recently installed a state-of-the-art roll-fed inkjet press to complement our existing conventional, UV and digital presses. We also installed two highly automated finishing lines, one of which is just now coming online.
As a Production Supervisor in our dynamic company, you will play a pivotal role in helping to oversee the manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to production schedules. You will lead a team of production staff, collaborating closely with other departments to optimize workflow and contribute to the continuous improvement of our production operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervision and Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate production staff to achieve production targets and maintain high-quality standards.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and effective communication.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement and enforce quality control processes to ensure the production of high-quality products.
- Investigate and address any quality issues promptly, working closely with the quality assurance team.
Resource Management:
- Manage production resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely availability of resources.
Health and Safety:
- Enforce and promote a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for production staff.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare regular reports on production metrics, including output, quality, and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production processes, deviations, and corrective actions.
- At least ten years’ experience in the Printing Industry; press and/or bindery experience a must. Ability to run a saddlestitcher and perfect binder a plus.
- Must be mechanically inclined.
- Needs to be able to troubleshoot issues with press and bindery equipment.
- At least five years’ experience in a management role.
- Experience utilizing MIS systems. EFI Pace experience preferred, but not required.
- Familiarity with Kaizen, 5S and Six Sigma a huge plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- UV experience preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Team-oriented management style with excellent people management and leadership skills.
- Good planning and problem-solving skills with proven track record in achieving results.

Pay: $51,377.02 – $61,873.40 per year
- 8 hour shift
