Marketing Director

The Marketing Director will oversee the organization’s strategy and content teams.  This leader will set the vision for marketing and content strategies that enable results-driven campaigns optimized for client objectives.

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Marketing: advise with a consultative, analytic approach
  • Lead MOSAIC’s strategic marketing capability with actionable planning and repeatable frameworks that span from client go-to-market strategy to integrated marketing campaign best practices to get results
  • Conceive of and develop integrated marketing strategies / plans. Set marketing vision on behalf of clients based on market segmentation, customer needs, use cases, and brand experience analysis
  • Serve as an authority on strategic marketing topics through industry leading knowledge that is ahead of the curve and demonstrates authority across a range of topics
  • Use expertise to push thinking on client projects, and to ask provocative questions that help to shape strategy and streamline execution, ultimately resulting in more effective solutions that exceed client expectations
  • Drive decision-making with a consultative and strategic approach that focuses on value creation for the near, medium and long-term
  • Instill a consultative, data-driven approach into client management by serving as a strategic thought leader on select project
  • Elevate analytics, modeling and strategic insights to help drive MOSAIC and client initiatives, primarily focused on revenue optimization and improving membership metrics
  • Content Strategy: oversee strategic content, storytelling, and communications.
  • Use expertise to interpret client objectives, data insights, and digital marketing requirements into content plans
  • Manage the MOSAIC’s content capability inclusive of value proposition, headlines, brand stories, as well as technical writing to effectively convey client communication points and compel users to action
  • Operationalize content by instituting organized, internal story-based editorial calendar and reporting system, ensuring the right information is delivered to the right stakeholders at the right time
  • Oversee content marketing capability by leveraging content & competitive insights that inform content topics and digital PR and cross-channel content opportunities
  • Team Leadership: amplify organizational and people leadership
  • Oversee the organization’s Strategy and Content teams to accelerate the organization’s growth
  • Inspire a shared vision while challenging the status quo as a change agent to continually improve business processes and operational excellence with a goal of providing a world-class client and employee experience
  • Instill a human capital development and “coaching” culture including strategic training and organizational development plans
  • Establish operational standards, best practices, and guidelines to enable scalability of client solutions
  • Align executive team and individual department heads on operational priorities in support of business unit goals and corporate strategic direction

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and/or Communications, MBA preferred
  • Track record of professional and academic excellence
  • At least 15 years of a successful track record with a digital media property, consulting firm, PR/digital agency, or in-house marketing position preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with strategic marketing
  • Strong team building skills to include experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and delivering high impact solutions
  • Ability to personally manage multiple client priorities, in addition to internal teams, while ensuring that each client feels valued and prioritized
  • Experience in growing and managing a department from inception
  • Integrated Marketing and Campaign Management software familiarity required (i.e. XMPie, PageFlex, InterlinkOne or MindFire, FusionPro etc.)
  • Passion for digital marketing and innovation
  • Strong detail orientation; highly organized
  • Unstoppable drive for high performance in an entrepreneurial, flexible and adaptable environment
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills
